Stump
Removal
Stump
removal
consists of
grinding out
a tree stump
approximately
4 to 6
inches below
the ground.
When a tree
stump is
“ground
out,” a
large amount
of wood
chips are
left in the
yard. These
chips can be
used as
mulch or
disposed of
in the
garbage;
however
Neighborhood
Tree Service
is only
responsible
for removing
the stump,
not the
chips that
are a result
of the stump
removal.
*****Stump
removal is
not included
in the price
of the tree
removal,
this is an
extra
service and
will be
charged
separately. |

We
recommend
that once a
stump is
removed, the
customer
should
remove the
tree chips
from the
area and
apply dirt
over that
area
followed by
a grass seed
or sod,
rather than
replanting
another tree
or bush over
the same
area. The
roots are
typically
not removed
unless
specified on
the
contract,
however when
the surface
roots are
removed,
they are
typically
ground flush
with the
earth.
Larger roots
(3 inches in
diameter or
greater) are
ground one
inch below
the surface.
